Giulia Marchetti

Biography
Giulia Marchetti leads the Art Concierge service at Relais La Capricciosa and edits the hotel's editorial journal. Born and raised in Florence, she trained at the Università degli Studi di Firenze in Storia dell'Arte before working with the Uffizi Gallery's education office and several independent Florentine galleries. Her concierge practice combines deep institutional knowledge — built over fifteen years of working with the Uffizi, the Bargello, Palazzo Strozzi, and the Accademia — with relationships in the artisan botteghe of the Oltrarno and the gastronomic producers of the Chianti hills. She writes the journal articles published on this site, drawing on her training as an art historian and her daily encounters with the people who keep Florentine craftsmanship alive. Guests at the Relais who request bespoke itineraries work with Giulia personally before and during their stay.
