Booking
How can I book?+
You can book directly on our website, by email at reservations@relaislacapricciosa.it, or by calling +39 055 268 0190. Booking direct guarantees the best available rate, priority room selection, and complimentary early check-in subject to availability.
What is the cancellation policy?+
Cancellation is free up to 72 hours before the arrival date. Cancellations within 72 hours incur a charge equivalent to the first night. For peak-season bookings (April-June, September-October) and during special events, the policy may vary: full details are provided in your booking confirmation.
Is advance payment required?+
No, payment is made directly at the hotel. We only require a credit card as a guarantee at the time of booking. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and cash.

Rooms
How many rooms does the hotel have?+
Relais La Capricciosa has 24 rooms across 4 categories: Giglio, Caterina, Arno, and Suite Capricciosa. Each category offers a distinct experience, from the intimate Giglio to the lavish Suite with a panoramic terrace overlooking Florence.
What are the check-in and check-out times?+
Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 12:00. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged subject to availability — please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Do rooms have a view?+
The Arno rooms overlook the river and the rooftops of the historic centre, while the Suite Capricciosa features a private terrace with panoramic views of the Duomo and the Florentine hills. Giglio and Caterina rooms offer views over the piazzas and historic streets of the centre.
Can I request an extra bed?+
Yes. The Caterina room can accommodate up to 3 guests with an extra bed, while the Suite Capricciosa is ideal for families or groups of up to 4 guests. Please let us know at the time of booking.

Dining
Does the hotel have a restaurant?+
Relais La Capricciosa is home to three dining spaces: Bistrot L'Alchimista, our contemporary Tuscan restaurant also open to non-residents; La Corte Segreta, the private garden reserved exclusively for hotel guests; and Il Salotto del Capriccio, the lounge for afternoon tea, evening aperitivo, and after-dinner drinks.
Is breakfast included?+
Breakfast at Bistrot L'Alchimista is available as a supplement to the room rate or included in select packages. We also offer half-board and full-board options. Breakfast features Tuscan pastries, fresh seasonal fruit, local charcuterie and cheeses, and an a la carte hot selection.
Can I arrange a private dinner?+
Absolutely. La Corte Segreta, our hidden garden within the 15th-century palazzo, is the perfect setting for romantic private dinners, celebrations, and special occasions. Our chef prepares bespoke menus with seasonal Tuscan ingredients. Please contact us at least 48 hours in advance.

Location
How far is the hotel from the Uffizi?+
Relais La Capricciosa is just a 3-minute walk from the Uffizi Gallery. We are at Via Porta Rossa 23, in the very heart of Florence's historic centre, also steps from Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and the Duomo.
How do I get from the airport?+
From Florence Airport (FLR) the taxi journey takes approximately 15 minutes. From Santa Maria Novella station (SMN), the Relais is just a 5-minute walk. On request, we can arrange a private transfer from the airport or the station.
Is parking available?+
Florence's historic centre is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL). Our Valet Parking ZTL service collects your vehicle at the ZTL boundary, parks it at the Palazzo Vecchio partner garage, and returns it at your chosen time. No fines, no complications.

What is the Art Concierge?+
The Art Concierge is our personal cultural concierge service. We arrange after-hours private museum visits, priority access to the Uffizi and the Accademia with art historians, meetings with master craftspeople in their Oltrarno workshops, and bespoke itineraries built around your interests.
Is the hotel suitable for couples?+
Relais La Capricciosa is designed with couples in mind. Every detail — from the Suite Capricciosa with its panoramic terrace to private dinners in La Corte Segreta, from the Fragrance Menu to the Pillow Menu — is created to offer a romantic and intimate experience in the heart of Florence.
Is there Wi-Fi?+
Yes, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel: in all rooms, common areas, La Corte Segreta, and Bistrot L'Alchimista.

How do I book an experience?+
Our Art Concierge is at your service from the moment your booking is confirmed. You can share your interests by email, by phone, or at check-in. We recommend at least 24 hours' notice for museum bookings and 48 hours for private visits and artisan experiences.
